Sales Manager, Central and Eastern Europe
Job Description
- Implement the group strategy in the Central and Eastern European region
- Manage the Coatings and Wood Preservatives sales team
- Manage strategic accounts as well as key distributors
- Identify and explore new business opportunities with new clients
- Track key accounts and/or major customers and prospects in order to build customer loyalty and increase sales
- Lead the sales effort offering support and advice to clients and colleagues in support of the overall business objectives.
- Drive growth with new and existing accounts, improving volume, sales revenue and profitability
- Work closely with the Technical Service Team which is essential for opening new accounts as well as improving technology and processes at existing accounts
- Represents RÜTGERS Organics in relevant industry associations and other opinion leading bodies
- Works closely with the regulatory team to make sure national approval levels are in place in line with company strategy
- The position reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director of the RÜTGERS Organics Group and is based in Mannheim
The ideal candidate will have some of the following.
- A background in business growth within timber related markets, including wood coatings as well as wood preservatives
- A strong and successful sales record
- 3-5 years sales management experience
- A qualification up to degree standard or equivalent preferred
- Evidence of strategic planning and strong organisational skills
- A Team Player
- Comfortable with Microsoft office and reporting
- Must have excellent written & oral communication skills in both German and English, a third language would be a distinct advantage
- Enjoys extensive travelling and establishing a network in the industry
- Focuses on making and maintaining strong customer bonds
- He or she must have a true entrepreneurial spirit, self started and motivated to make a difference in an international SME “the German Mittelstand”
The successful candidate will have substantial time with the current Sales Manager, to make sure all relationships, network and know how are continued smoothly.
